Job summary

Oxylabs is seeking a Senior Platform/DevOps Lead to guide our infra-focused platform team and drive dependable delivery. You will own engineering leadership, mentor engineers, manage capacity and dependencies, and align priorities with the Director of Infrastructure.

You will strengthen incident response, ownership, and escalation clarity while shaping our DevOps practices and tooling choices for scalable operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading an engineering team (hiring, coaching, performance, delivery ownership).
• Strong stakeholder management: can translate business needs into a clear plan and keep people aligned.
• Pragmatic, ownership-driven mindset: can make trade-offs, push standards, and improve reliability without slowing the team down.

Responsibilities

• Lead one of our existing Platform teams (infra/DevOps) and keep delivery consistent and predictable.
• Own people leadership - hire, mentor, and develop engineers while keeping the team healthy and performing.
• Manage capacity, risk, and dependencies: plan realistically, unblock the team quickly, and handle escalations early.
• Align scope and priorities with the Director of Infrastructure, keeping stakeholders aligned and avoiding churn.
• Strengthen predictable operations - make sure ownership, incident flow, and escalation paths are clear and well-practiced.

You’ll be solving complex challenges and maintaining our own infrastructure with 60PB+ monthly data traffic. Here are its scale and maturity in numbers:

• - 6PB+ Ceph storage
• - 60PB+ monthly data traffic through our systems
• - 300k+ service requests/sec processed
• - 500k+ Kafka messages/sec streamed

Salary & Benefits:

• Gross salary: 5500 EUR/month - 7600 EUR/gross. Keep in mind that we are open to discussing a different salary based on your skills and experience.
