Job summary

Oracle seeks a senior platform leader to drive standardization of runtimes, APIs, and SDKs across multiple teams. You will govern security controls, ensure interoperability, and sponsor cross-group innovation in resilience and capacity planning.

You will oversee design reviews, API lifecycle, and architecture decisions, guiding developers toward scalable, secure solutions and reliable operations across services and programs.

Responsibilities

• Define platform strategy for a group, aligning runtimes, SDKs, and integration frameworks to interoperable, multi-tenant standards.
• Govern cross-group compatibility and security controls with SRE/security partners; approve high-risk migrations and deprecations.
• Own group-wide resilience and capacity objectives; institutionalize rollout, canary, and rollback patterns across services.
• Defines key elements for leads and/or teams to design multiple software solutions and identify and analyze requirements to ensure alignment with business and organizational goals.
• Leads design and specification reviews to drive improvements across multiple projects/programs.
• Directs teams to implement API versioning, lifecycle, and interoperability strategies.
• Directs teams to design and develop software, systems, and services; coach on architecture decisions and best practices.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align architecture with business goals and priorities.
• Directs the implementation of training for customer issue and/or defect handling processes.
• Leads investigation and troubleshooting of complex maintenance issues to ensure long-term solutions.
• Implements secure software development practices to prevent vulnerabilities.
• Defines SOPs for development, ensuring automation, testing, and reliability.
• Oversees and guides multiple teams on managing complex projects, timelines, and budgets.
• Fosters cross-functional collaboration, transparency, and inclusive decision-making.
