Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking a Senior Director, Platform Engineering to lead and grow the platform engineering craft across technology teams. You will coach leaders, remove impediments to performance, shape strategy, and collaborate with stakeholders while upholding risk and compliance expectations.

You will oversee talent development, hiring, performance reviews, and insourcing initiatives aligned with key priorities. Strong communication and agile leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Typically, will have at least 11-15 years of combined people leadership and hands-on experience in their particular craft.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experiences.
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across audiences.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment with strategic priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coach current employees to meet organizational needs.
• Will actively participate in hiring experienced and college graduate level employees.
• Identify organizational needs and propose solutions to resolve.
