Job summary

Novi Labs, an AI-driven SaaS company in Austin, TX, seeks a Director of Platform Engineering to lead a distributed team responsible for the systems running our data‑driven SaaS apps and APIs. You will own architecture standards, security/compliance, backups, monitoring, incident response, CI/CD and cost governance.

Role requires 10+ years in infra/DevOps, 3+ years leading teams, strong AWS/EKS and Terraform experience, and a track record of delivering scalable, secure platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in infrastructure, SRE, DevOps or platform engineering.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• Deep AWS experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and Terraform in production.
• Experience with SOC2-type security and compliance is a plus.
• Experience consolidating platforms after acquisitions is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead Platform Engineering, starting with three engineers.
• Set architecture standards and drive reuse of designs.
• Own security, compliance, backups, monitoring and incident response.
• Oversee CI/CD, access controls and cost optimization across cloud.
• Lead move to a unified Novi platform across AWS and sign‑in systems.
• Provide a paved road with standards, tools and templates for teams.
