Job summary

Harvard Medical School is seeking a Platform Administrator to support core infrastructure platforms, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient technology services. You will provision, configure, and support server OS, enforce baselines, and collaborate across teams to integrate identity and policy systems.

The role emphasizes operational reliability, documentation, and participation in the software development lifecycle for scripts and tools, with a prerequisite to participate in on-call

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ post-secondary education or relevant work experience.
• Experience managing server infrastructure platforms is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server OS, lifecycle management, and configuration tools.

Responsibilities

• Provision, patch, and decommission server infrastructure across the platform lifecycle.
• Maintain configuration baselines and manage configuration tools.
• Support Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity integration.
• Monitor systems, respond to alerts, and assist with compliance reporting.
• Automate provisioning and configuration workflows where possible.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure reliable platform services.
• Contribute to development lifecycle for operational scripts and tools.
• Participate in on-call rotations and off-hours as needed.
• Document processes and SOPs for staff reference.
