Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate our internal developer platform across multi-cloud environments. You will own infrastructure provisioning, GitOps pipelines, observability, and developer experience to help our engineering teams ship software reliably at scale.

The role requires hands-on Kubernetes and Terraform Cloud experience, plus strong scripting, CI/CD, and security skills.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE.
Hands-on Kubernetes production experience across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Terraform Cloud).
Experience with GitOps and continuous delivery tooling (Flux, ArgoCD, or equivalent).
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Harness, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms.
Working knowledge of multi-cloud architectures across two or more of: Azure, AWS, GCP.
Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash).
Experience with observability platforms (Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana).
Strong networking fundamentals (DNS, TLS, load balancing, VPNs, VPC/VNet).
Familiarity with security concepts: RBAC, secrets management, image signing, supply-chain security.
Comfortable with container registries, Helm charts, and Kubernetes manifests.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to document complex systems clearly.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain the internal developer platform enabling our engineering organization to ship software reliably and at scale.
Own the full platform lifecycle—from infrastructure provisioning and GitOps delivery pipelines to observability and developer experience across multi-cloud environments.
Design, provision, and maintain cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and GCP using infrastructure-as-code tooling (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation).
Manage Terraform Cloud workspaces, module registries, and policy frameworks (Sentinel/OPA) for governance at scale.
Architect and operate Kubernetes clusters across multiple cloud providers, including node pool management, autoscaling, networking, and storage.
Define and manage cloud landing zones, account structures, networking baselines, and identity/access frameworks aligned to security standards.
Operate and evolve GitOps delivery pipelines using Flux to manage cluster state, Helm releases, and environment promotions from a single source of truth in version control.
Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Harness, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and other tools covering build, test, security scanning, and deployment workflows.
Champion GitOps best practices across engineering teams, providing templates, documentation, and enablement.
Implement and maintain full-stack observability using platforms like Dynatrace, including distributed tracing, monitoring, log management, and SLO/SLI tracking.
Define alerting strategies, runbooks, and on-call escalation paths; drive incident response and post-incident reviews.
Establish and track platform reliability metrics and lead initiatives to close gaps.
Build and maintain internal developer platform capabilities: self-service tooling, templates, libraries, and developer portals.
Reduce cognitive load by abstracting infrastructure complexity behind well-documented interfaces.
Collaborate with security, networking, and application teams to align on standards and integrate platform capabilities into the SDLC.
Embed security controls into platform tooling: secrets management, image signing, policy enforcement, RBAC, audit logging.
Support compliance requirements (SOC 2, PCI-DSS) through infrastructure controls, audit trails, and documentation.
