Job summary

DTEX is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain the DTEX InTERCEPT platform. You will implement microservices, containerization, and data storage strategies for OpenSearch and PostgreSQL, while driving search performance and security.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate across teams, and contribute to a hybrid or remote-friendly work model. A BS in CS or equivalent with 5+ years of experience is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in CS or equivalent and 5+ years of software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with OpenSearch/ElasticSearch.
• Proficient in Python or similar language and shipping production software.
• Cloud proficiency in AWS or GCP and Kubernetes orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Design microservice architectures for speed and scalability across data pipelines.
• Implement and manage containerization with Podman and Kubernetes for deployment.
• Write high-quality Python code with tests, automation, and documentation.
• Store and retrieve high-volume data from OpenSearch and PostgreSQL efficiently.
• Tune search relevance, performance, and user experience.
• Develop features for the big data analytics platform within DTEX solution.
• Adhere to security and data protection standards in production.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster innovation and learning.
