Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in New York is seeking a Platform Engineer to maintain and develop the host platform for the ATD application. You will configure the host OS, startup tooling, permissions, and remote user management, and integrate Docker to run the software stack.

The role requires experience with Linux, Docker, Python, Systemd, and Bash scripting, plus ability to work in a distributed team environment. Competitive salary and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (3 years work experience in place of degree)
• Experience with Linux systems (CentOS/RHEL preferred)
• Experience with Docker, Python, Systemd, and Bash scripting
• Experience working in a distributed/remote team environment

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Linux operating system deployment
• Configure and maintain Docker application
• Upgrade system packages to close vulnerabilities in 3rd party software
• Integrate system with directory servers for remote user management
• Build tooling and maintain tooling for deploying and upgrading the system
• Contribute to architecture designs
• Decompose user stories into tasks and estimate story points for user stories and tasks
• Perform manual tests as required
