Job summary

Constructor.io is seeking a Platform Enablement Engineer to join our distributed platform engineering team. You’ll design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, partner with software engineers, security, and platform teams to meet infra needs and drive reliability.

With 3+ years in DevOps/SRE or platform engineering, you’ll lead cross‑account AWS setups, implement IaC (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform), and boost CI/CD, monitoring, and observability across our AWS stack.

About the Role

You’re a cloud-focused Platform Engineer with a strong background in platform engineering, DevOps, and a passion for automating and optimizing infrastructure at scale. You thrive in environments that offer autonomy, but you also enjoy collaborating with diverse teams to drive innovative solutions. With solid hands‑on experience in AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), you are adept at designing, building, and maintaining highly reliable cloud infrastructure. Your problem‑solving skills and proactive attitude make you a go‑to person for infrastructure advice and guidance.

As a Platform Enablement Engineer on our distributed Constructor platform engineering team, you’ll play a key role in shaping and scaling the backbone of our infrastructure. You’ll collaborate closely with software engineers to ensure their infrastructure needs are met, work with platform teams to design scalable, high‑performance systems, and partner with security experts to implement cutting‑edge security practices.

• Experience: 3+ years of hands‑on experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering, with a focus on cloud infrastructure.
• Cloud Expertise: Deep experience in AWS infrastructure management and automation tools like CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform.
• Monitoring & Observability: Proficiency in monitoring systems such as Prometheus, ElasticSearch, VictoriaMetrics, or similar tools, with a focus on ensuring high availability and performance.
• Provide Expert Guidance: Advise software engineers on best practices and strategies for managing infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with application development workflows.
• Build & Scale Infrastructure: Design and implement new solutions to enhance system reliability, scalability, and observability across our AWS infrastructure.
• Optimize & Innovate: Continuously evaluate and improve existing systems, finding smarter, more efficient ways to deliver infrastructure solutions.
• Cross-Account AWS Management: Set up, maintain, and scale cross-account AWS environments, ensuring security and compliance are always top priorities.
• Enhance CI/CD Pipelines: Improve continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows to streamline development and deployment cycles.
• Automate & Streamline: Automate critical infrastructure updates and other routine processes to reduce manual intervention and increase operational efficiency.

• This position has a base salary range between $80k and $120k USD. The offer varies on many factors including job related knowledge, skills, experience, and interview results.
