Job summary

Apple Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA, is seeking a Software Engineer for the Applied Machine Learning Platform (AiDP).

You will design and implement scalable ML/AI serving infrastructure, enabling training, deployment, and inference across Apple platforms with high availability and security. The role requires deep Python/Java experience, strong distributed systems knowledge, and a passion for building production-grade services at scale.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience.
• 4+ years in Python or Java building Production Applications.
• Strong understanding of concurrency, threading, multiprocessing and their trade-offs in high-throughput production systems.
• Deep knowledge of ML and AI frameworks and ecosystem.
• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures and algorithms.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies like Kubernetes and CNCF.
• Proficiency in profiling, optimizing, debugging applications and libraries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement large-scale, secure, and highly available systems with cross-team collaboration.
• Address thousands of transactions per second while balancing consistency and performance.
• Mentor junior engineers, lead projects, and provide production support.
