Job summary

AFLAC, INCORPORATED. in the United States seeks a senior SAP specialist to manage ABAP development, FS-RI, and FS-CD configurations across the SAP platform. You will drive architectural design, upgrades, and integration efforts while ensuring security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in SAP release practices and environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide architecture design and maintenance for SAP platform (COTS, SaaS, ERP) environments.
• Ensure compliance with policies, security standards, and auditing.
• Plan software upgrades, patches, and plugin installations per policies.
• Monitor performance and manage component capacity issues.
• Design, test, configure, and maintain integrations to platform applications.
• Adhere to security and coding standards for resilience and data security.
• Review requirements to deploy best solution, including configuring and debugging.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate statuses and proposals.
• Deploy and configure platform applications to meet company needs.
• Design technical solutions and customize platform applications to fit requirements.
• Perform other duties as required.

Work Designation.

Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.

• If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.
• If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

• SAP ABAP programming experience
• SAP FS- RI experience
• SAP FS-CD experience
• Advanced experience with software configuration and modern programming languages
• Ability to troubleshoot challenging problems across the platform & its HW/SW components
• Proven experience in Scrum and DevOps methodologies
• Ability to guide and mentor junior team members

Education & Experience Required

• Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Systems or other related experience
• 4+ years of experience in SAP release practices and environments or other related experience

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Education & Experience Preferred

• Certification in any Certification that relates to the platforms supported

• Provides support on architectural design and maintenance of the SAP platform’s (COTS, SaaS, ERP) environment with distributed components
• Ensures compliance with the organization’s requirements through the implementation of, auditing of, and adherence to policies, procedures, and security standards
• Plans software upgrades, patching, & plugin installations in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Monitors performance, resolves problems, & manages component capacity issues
• Design, test, develop, configure, & maintain integrations to platform’s applications
• Adhere to the platform’s security and coding standards for resilience, data, and security
• Review business requirements to deploy the best solution, including configuring, coding, & d ebugging
• Work closely with cross-functional departments to communicate statuses & technical proposals
• Deploy and configure platform applications tailored to company needs
• Design technical solutions, configure/customize, test, maintain the platform applications to meet company requirements
• Performs other duties as required

Total Rewards

The salary range for this job is $95,000 - $145,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.

At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
