The role requires 4–20+ years of experience in data platforms, Dataiku DSS, Python, SQL, and Linux/Unix, plus comfort with Dataiku plugins and API integrations.

What You’ll Do

We are seeking a Data Platform Engineer to lead the architectural hardening and enterprise integration of Dataiku within our modern data stack (Snowflake, DBT, AWS). This is not a traditional data science role; you will be the primary architect responsible for building the "governance-as-code" layer that allows non-technical users (e.g., Finance) to innovate safely. Your mission is to bridge the gap between rapid prototyping and production-grade engineering by implementing automated project standards, data quality gates, and secure tokenization patterns.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Hardening: Design and implement Dataiku Project Standards to act as a "linter" for production readiness, ensuring all projects meet naming, metadata, and security requirements.
• Governance Automation: Develop custom Dataiku plugins and API integrations to automate Tier 1 & Tier 2 Data Quality checks, blocking promotion to production if standards are not met.
• Secure Architecture: Partner with Information Security to integrate Fortanix tokenization and field-level encryption directly into Dataiku visual recipes and Python code-based workflows.
• Hybrid Integration: Build and maintain the "Promotion Path" where ad-hoc Dataiku prototypes are hardened and, where necessary, refactored into DBT for long-term enterprise use.
• Operational Excellence: Integrate Dataiku monitoring with ServiceNow to automate incident creation for pipeline failures or data quality drift.
• User Enablement: Serve as the technical "Steward" for non-technical business units, providing them with approved templates and secure data products in the Data Exchange.
