Job summary

Strategic Data Systems, Inc. (SDS) seeks a Platform Engineer I in Downtown Cincinnati to design and implement technology solutions within the Capital Markets Commodities and SDR space.

You will collaborate with vendors and internal teams to align software with the technology roadmap and ensure business continuity. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in engineering, strong problem-solving, and knowledge of SDR compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technology field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Three+ years of engineering or IT work experience relevant to the position.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a highly-collaborative environment.
• Technical skills per the position’s requirements.
• Understanding of IT security best practices.
• Expertise in commodities trading platforms and swap dealer compliance requirements.
• Experience with Kiodex, Cappitech, and other Capital Markets IT platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Liaison with software vendors such as FIS and S&P for systems used by Capital Markets Commodities and SDR.
• Stay updated on vendor changes and how they affect the business.
• Assist with design solutions to incorporate software changes and work with partners to implement.
• Understand the business technology roadmap and advise on continued usage of third-party software.
• Implement and maintain new features while improving quality of products and services.
• Follow industry best practices and participate in communities of practice.
• Automate processes and create maintainable, testable solutions.
• Keep up with technology trends and provide operational support to team.
