Job summary

CoStar Group is seeking a Software Engineer I to join Matterport’s Platform Engineering team in Irvine, CA. You will design, implement and deploy features for the Matterport Platform, building APIs, backend services and integrations at scale in a microservices environment.

The role emphasizes Kotlin/Java development, cloud-based SaaS delivery, and collaboration with product managers, designers, engineers, and QA. Hybrid schedule with remote Friday options and strong engineering culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
• 1+ years of development experience delivering features and services in a cloud environment.
• Experience developing SaaS solutions using Java and/or Kotlin.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills across platform layers.
• Ability to work well in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and deploy new features and services for the Matterport Platform.
• Build features and services using Kotlin and front-end technologies.
• Create APIs, backend services and integrations to support products.
• Work with relational and non-relational data stores.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers and QA.
• Ensure monitoring and respond to issues in live environments.
• Advocate for good engineering practices and contribute to a learning culture.
