Job summary

Motion Recruitment seeks a Senior Platform Engineer in the United States to advance Kubernetes-based platform engineering and secure software delivery across on-premises, air-gapped, private cloud and regulated cloud environments.

The role focuses on automation, CI/CD, and observability using Python, Helm, Docker/Podman, GitOps, and cloud-native tooling, with hands-on responsibilities designing scalable platform capabilities and enforcing secure-by-default controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Systems Administration, or Software Engineering.
• Strong experience supporting both on-premises and cloud-based environments, including air-gapped deployments.
• Expertise with Kubernetes administration, engineering, and operations.
• Experience with Python scripting and infrastructure automation.
• Hands-on experience with Helm for Kubernetes packaging and deployments.
• Knowledge of container technologies including Docker and/or Podman.
