Job summary

GDIT is seeking a Full Stack Platform Engineer to join NIH CIT Hosting and Storage Services program. You will build a self-service PaaS on AWS, enabling customers to build, deploy, and operate application stacks with modern DevOps practices.

The role requires strong full-stack development experience, cloud infrastructure knowledge, and collaboration in an Agile team, delivering features end-to-end while improving automation and reliability.

Qualifications

7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Experience on Agile teams delivering software.
Ability to communicate technical reasoning clearly with stakeholders.
Experience with full-stack development and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deliver features across the full technology stack (TypeScript, Node.js, React, REST APIs).
Build accessible, responsive user experiences using established components and patterns.
Integrate platform capabilities with AWS services for builds, identity, storage, networking, and observability.
Contribute to IaC with Terraform and review infrastructure plans.
Develop and maintain automated tests across unit, integration, and end-to-end levels.
Diagnose and resolve issues using logs and metrics within CI/CD workflows.
Maintain API specifications and technical documentation for the platform.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with the team.
