Job summary

Arcadia is seeking a hands-on Platform Engineer to own and evolve our internal platform, spanning cloud, Kubernetes, and CI/CD. You will design self-service APIs and golden paths that empower hundreds of engineering teams, while coaching Senior Engineers through design reviews.

You’ll balance reliability, security, and velocity, driving cost visibility and adoption of platform capabilities. This remote-first role offers hubs in Boston, DC, NYC.

Qualifications

• Experience building platform teams with a product mindset.
• Hands-on production coding in cloud/Kubernetes environments.
• Ability to set technical direction and coach senior engineers.
• Strong automation chops to reduce toil and outages.
• Focus on security, reliability, and scalable delivery.

Responsibilities

• Push quality attributes into the platform, incl. regression gates and cost visibility.
• Operate the platform as a self-service product, publish roadmaps and measure adoption.
• Build self-service APIs, templates, and golden paths for CI/CD and observability.
• Manage migrations and sunset outdated platforms or features.
• Balance stakeholder needs with architectural integrity and cost controls.
• Set technical direction and mentor senior engineers through reviews.
