Job summary

enGen is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise cloud platforms, databases, and services. You will work across platform engineering, cloud operations, automation, security, and development to deliver secure and scalable solutions.

The role requires 3 years in IT, a bachelor's in IT or related field, and hands-on OCI/Oracle tech experience. Office-based with some travel may apply, and candidates must be US citizens for contractual access.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or closely related field.
3 years of experience in an IT discipline.
Experience administering and supporting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services.
Experience with Oracle database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and database lifecycle management.
Experience implementing and supporting cloud security controls, identity and access management, secrets management, and security compliance within Oracle Cloud environments.
Experience developing integrations, APIs, and automation solutions using cloud-native and middleware technologies.
Experience utilizing Infrastructure as Code, scripting, and DevOps practices to automate platform deployment and administration.
Experience troubleshooting complex platform, middleware, database, and integration issues in enterprise environments.
Experience working in Agile and DevOps delivery models.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic consultation to business customers in defining or designing business processes and enabling technologies.
Specify and design large or complex systems, review designs, and advise on architecture components and tools.
Identify requirements of system users and environments, lead improvement programs and drive measurable business benefits.
Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and manage customer expectations.
Participate in customer walkthroughs, design reviews, problem resolution and decision making.
Interact with departments across the organization to interpret complex requirements.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of technical areas and provide guidance to peers and staff.
Provide leadership in architecture and domain expertise to peers, developers and management.
