Job summary

Newfold Digital is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable infrastructure supporting hosting and WordPress platforms. You will collaborate with development teams and system administrators to ensure smooth deployment pipelines and robust monitoring.

Responsibilities include automating provisioning with Terraform/Ansible, building CI/CD pipelines, and optimizing performance while ensuring security across the stack.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux system administration.
• Strong knowledge of Apache/Nginx HTTP Server configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• Solid scripting skills (Python, Bash).
• Good understanding of networking, security, and system architecture principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Being able to be contacted on non-working hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and enhance shared hosting and shared Wordpress platforms.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Terraform and Ansible.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable fast and reliable software delivery.
• Optimize platform usability and performance.
• Monitor platform health and implement proactive alerting and remediation systems.
• Manage container orchestration environments (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Manage and optimize Apache web server configurations for performance, security, and scalability.
• Ensure security best practices and compliance across the platform infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement long-term solutions.
