Job summary

Concourse is hiring a Platform Engineer to own the data ingestion pipelines and infrastructure that power government software. You will design connectors and primitives that normalize legacy government data and enable AI-driven workflows at scale, partnering with Forward-Deployed PMs who work directly with city and county teams.

Your work includes building the multi-step AI workflow engine, enforcing audit trails, and implementing robust access controls to meet regulatory standards as we grow.

Qualifications

• Strong backend fluency in Python and/or Node with data modeling expertise.
• Experience designing APIs and scalable systems for reliability.
• Frontend familiarity to reason about UI, even if not owned.
• Hands-on use of AI coding tools as part of daily workflow.

Responsibilities

• Design and own connectors, ingestion pipelines, and data primitives for government data.
• Build infrastructure for long-running AI workflows with queues, state, retries, and audits.
• Maintain core primitives and enable non-engineers to assemble platforms quickly.
• Embed data isolation, access controls, and auditability from the start with compliance paths.
• Collaborate with the founder on architecture decisions across deployments.
