Job summary

Bioscope.AI in Carmel, IN (Hybrid) is seeking a Platform Engineer to own the platform layer, cloud infrastructure, and authentication that controls patient data access. You will also manage billing pipelines, CI/CD, and AI tooling.

The role emphasizes security, reliability, and end-to-end ownership in a HIPAA-conscious environment. You’ll work with the infrastructure lead, shipping production-ready systems, and iterating on tooling while balancing tradeoffs and cost.

Qualifications

• Ownership of what you build: design, ship, run, and improve.
• Production AWS infrastructure experience and IaC tooling.
• Careful execution when changing production systems.
• Strong fundamentals in networking, IAM, and debugging distributed systems.
• Full-stack capability, backend focus with frontend willingness.
• Proficiency with AI tooling and coding agents is a plus.
• Clear, proactive communication during incidents and tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Own the Infrastructure: Build and maintain cloud infra as code, AWS focus, cost and security guardrails.
• Run the Core Platform: Manage practice accounts, login, and billing systems.
• Keep the Team Shipping: Maintain CI/CD pipelines and tooling.
• Improve Our AI Tooling: Build and refine AI coding tooling.
• Protect Patient Data: Design access controls, secrets handling, HIPAA-aware logging.
• Own Problems End to End: Triage, fix, test, and ship customer-reported issues.
• Pitch In on Product: Help ship platform-touching product features.
