Job summary

Modular, a Qualcomm company, is seeking a Workplace Engineering IT lead to own the IT roadmap, automate onboarding/offboarding with Okta, and expand the AI-powered help desk agent. You’ll balance security with usability, manage a SaaS portfolio, and write clear runbooks.

The role is in‑person at Los Altos, CA with 2 days/week on-site; future growth opportunities exist as the team scales with AI enablement.

Qualifications

• Experience owning identity lifecycle processes with AI-enabled frameworks.
• Fullstack development background with REST API experience.
• Okta administration, lifecycle management and app integration.
• Experience running or improving a help desk or service function.
• SaaS portfolio management including licensing and renewals.
• Security-aware but user-friendly approach with strong writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and expand Serval-powered help desk agent, design workflows and integrations.
• Escalation point for unresolved tickets; root-cause analysis and automation.
• Own onboarding/offboarding end-to-end; automate Okta to downstream apps.
• Administer Okta: SSO, SCIM provisioning, lifecycle and policy design.
• Manage Modular's SaaS portfolio: licensing, renewals, vendor mgmt.
• Write runbooks and knowledge articles; keep IT operations accurate.
• Partner with Security and AI Enablement to share controls.
