Job summary

Clera Labs, Inc. is seeking a Platform Engineer to build and maintain the core infrastructure of an AI-driven data platform. You will work with the founding team to improve reliability, performance, and product velocity.

You will design scalable systems, optimize pipelines, and manage cloud-based infrastructure with IaC. Strong coding skills and experience with containers, CI/CD, and observability are required for this role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Platform/SRE/DevOps/Backend focusing on production infrastructure or core services.
• Experience shipping/maintaining production systems at scale and resolving incidents.
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes or similar container runtimes.
• IaC tools (Terraform/CloudFormation/Ansible) and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Experience building or improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Strong backend fundamentals in Python/Go/Node/Java and with databases & APIs.
• Familiar with monitoring/observability tools and message queues or event streaming.
• Comfortable in early-stage environments with evolving priorities and cross-functional communication.

About the Role

As a Platform Engineer, you will build and maintain the core infrastructure behind an AI and machine learning platform that turns real-world company data into useful datasets. You will work closely with the founding team and have a direct impact on reliability, performance, and the pace of product development.

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years of experience as a Platform Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Backend Engineer building or maintaining production infrastructure, deployment systems, or core platform services.
• Experience shipping or maintaining production systems at scale and resolving incidents or outages.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization and orchestration technologies.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Experience building or improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Strong backend language fundamentals in Python, Go, Node.js, Java, or a similar language, plus experience with databases and APIs.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools, as well as message queues or event streaming systems.
• Comfort working in an early-stage environment with changing priorities and communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
