Job summary

Huxley in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Cloud Data Pipeline Engineer to help drive a large-scale cloud transformation within a leading financial services organization. This is a hands-on data engineering role focused on modernizing legacy environments, building scalable cloud-native solutions, and guiding the data platform's evolution.

You will migrate on-prem data infrastructure to Azure, shape a long-term internal data engineering capability, and progress toward technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support end-to-end data pipelines across ingestion, integration, transformation, and distribution layers.
• Modernize legacy ETL processes and migrate on-premises workloads to cloud-native architectures.
• Lead and contribute to migrations from SSIS and traditional database platforms into Azure-based solutions.
• Develop scalable, reliable, and high-performing data engineering solutions using Azure and Snowflake.
• Optimize enterprise data movement, processing, and distribution capabilities.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD best practices for data platform development and deployment.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into effective data solutions.
• Evaluate emerging tools, technologies, and architectural approaches, providing recommendations aligned with business objectives.
• Mentor and guide consulting resources, with opportunities to grow into a formal leadership role.

We're seeking an experienced Cloud Data Pipeline Engineer to join a growing enterprise data platform team. This is a high-impact opportunity for a hands-on data engineering professional who is passionate about modernizing legacy environments, building scalable cloud-native solutions, and influencing the future direction of a rapidly evolving data ecosystem.

As part of a strategic initiative to accelerate cloud adoption, you\'ll play a key role in migrating critical on-premises data infrastructure to Azure and helping establish a long-term internal data engineering capability.

This role begins as an individual contributor position but offers a clear path toward technical leadership and team development responsibilities.
