Job summary

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience building and optimizing enterprise ETL pipelines.

  • Advanced SQL development and performance tuning skills.
  • Strong Python and PySpark skills.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, dimensional modeling, and enterprise data warehouses.

Job description

We are seeking a hands‑on ETL Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize enterprise data solutions in a modern cloud environment. This role requires someone with strong experience developing ETL pipelines, advanced SQL skills, expertise in data modeling and data warehouse architecture, and experience supporting or leading Snowflake migrations.

This is a highly collaborative position where technical expertise, communication skills, and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders are just as important as engineering ability. Experience applying AI technologies to improve data engineering workflows is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable ETL pipelines using Python and PySpark
  • Support and enhance enterprise data warehouse solutions with strong dimensional modeling and star schema design
  • Participate in and help drive the migration of enterprise data platforms to Snowflake
  • Develop high‑performance SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformation processes
  • Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory
  • Integrate data from APIs, relational databases, flat files, and other enterprise data sources
  • Ensure data quality, governance, security, and performance across the data platform
  • Collaborate with business users, analysts, architects, and development teams to deliver scalable data solutions
  • Apply AI technologies and automation techniques to improve data processing and analytics
  • Support reporting and analytics initiatives across the organization
Required Qualifications
  • Strong experience building and optimizing enterprise ETL pipelines
  • Experience with Snowflake migrations and Snowflake data warehouse architecture is required
  • Advanced SQL development and performance tuning skills
  • Strong experience with Python and PySpark
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, dimensional modeling, and enterprise data warehouse structures
  • Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and the Microsoft Azure data platform
  • Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise systems and APIs
  • Hands‑on experience utilizing AI technologies within data engineering or analytics workflows
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and business teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and cloud data architecture best practices
