Role

The Client Environments team within the Infrastructure domain is hiring an entry-level Platform Engineer based in the U.S. This growth-oriented role focuses on automating and supporting the networks behind our connected restaurant systems. You’ll contribute to GitOps workflows, deployment pipelines, and remote device orchestration at scale.

What we’re looking for

• Strong coding fundamentals (Python, Go, or similar)
• Practical experience using AI tools to accelerate development
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design
• Familiarity with basic networking concepts (OSI model, IP addressing, DHCP, VLANs, WiFi, LTE failover)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with seasoned engineers to design and implement robust, highly available systems in AWS or other public cloud platforms
• Work on production systems, maintaining and optimizing infrastructure
• Deepen understanding of distributed systems and apply to real-world scenarios

Qualifications

• Knowledge of software development fundamentals, problem solving and algorithmic thinking
• Proficiency in at least one language (Python, Go, C++)
• Understanding of distributed systems concepts (e.g., CAP Theorem)
• Experience with production-grade systems
• Knowledge of version control (Git)
• Working experience with AWS or other public cloud providers
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Compensation

• Base pay range: $100,000 - $130,000 USD
• Salary is one component of a competitive package including a company stock plan
• Offers will reflect location and experience
