Job Title:Backend Platform Engineer (Ruby on Rails)

The Role:

We’re looking for aEntry to Mid-Level Backend Platform Engineerto join our growing Infrastructure team. This is a great opportunity to make a significant impact on a high-performing platform that serves as the backbone of Republic’s financial services and Web3 integrations.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and scale backend systems inRuby on Rails(expertise required)

• Contribute to the design and development of ourREST APIs

• Collaborate closely with product teams to build secure and user-friendly payment infrastructure

• Help scale systems that interface withpayments, crypto, and broader FinTechplatforms

• Ensure platform reliability, security, and performance at scale

What We’re Looking For:

• 1–5 years of backend development experience (new grads with strong portfolios also highly considered)

• Advanced proficiency inRuby on Rails

• Experience working withpayment systemsand/or in theFinTechindustry

• Comfort working with and designingRESTful APIs

• A product-minded engineer who cares deeply about end users and usability

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with microservices or service-oriented architecture

• Previous work on developer platforms or internal tools

• Startup or high-growth environment experience

Compensation:

$90,000 - $140,000 based on experience and qualifications.
