Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or SRE.
• US citizenship mandatory due to access requirements for FedRAMP-regulated AWS GovCloud environments.
• Strong hands-on experience operating and supporting production AWS infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing and troubleshooting production Kubernetes environments; Amazon EKS preferred.
• Demonstrated experience writing, developing, and maintaining Terraform modules, rather than simply deploying pre-existing modules.
• Experience investigating and resolving production infrastructure incidents.
• Working knowledge of Helm, GitHub/GitLab, ArgoCD, and HashiCorp Vault.
• Strong understanding of IaC, CI/CD automation, cloud networking, and security best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on root causes and sustainable fixes.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure within AWS and AWS GovCloud.
• Operate and troubleshoot production Kubernetes environments, particularly Amazon EKS.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance reusable Terraform modules for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Automate infrastructure deployments and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
• Implement and maintain Kubernetes application deployments using Helm.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows using GitHub, GitLab, and ArgoCD.
• Manage infrastructure security and secrets management using HashiCorp Vault and cloud security best practices.
• Investigate complex production incidents, identify root causes, and implement permanent corrective solutions.
• Improve platform reliability, monitoring, operational efficiency, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with software engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver reusable platform solutions.
• Develop technical documentation, operational procedures, and troubleshooting runbooks.
• Communicate technical challenges, solutions, and architectural decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
