Join a team transforming the way Apple plans, strategizes and delivers its cloud infrastructure footprint. We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Demand Planner who will be responsible for driving the infrastructure planning process. This is a cross functional and strategic role, where you will be collaborating with services engineering, hardware engineering operations and finance teams.

Description

In this position, we drive the planning process for Apple Services to support Apple’s applications, including customer-facing ones like iCloud, Apple Pay and Media. You’ll be part of a small team dedicated to building out the Cloud Demand Planning function and work with cross functional business partners to aggregate demand. In this role, you will:

1. Own, define and build the entire suite of reporting for infrastructure requirements, which will drive actionable insights on infrastructure planning and product deployment.
2. Propose strategies on how to optimize the planning and delivery of those infrastructure requirements, including buffer assessment, inventory management and liability management.
3. Work with managers and directors to review requirements, schedules and analyses in order to acquire approval for procuring and deploying infrastructure.
4. Manage risks, schedules, and partners to successfully launch infrastructure programs supporting a wide array of Apple services.
5. Build and drive process implementation and outline requirements for new tool development.
6. Work closely with Infrastructure Software Dev Platform team for ongoing improvements to automate capacity models with intent to reduce reliance on Excel based planning tools.
7. Integrate various capacity planning practices to ensure capacity models used across larger properties leverage comparable methodologies, tools and process flows.

Minimum Qualifications

1. 5 years of experience in business planning, operations, supply chain, or related fields.
2. Strong verbal/written skills with an ability to distill complex ideas into concise, high impact communications.
3. Experience presenting to senior leadership, up to and including VP level.
4. Able to manage through ambiguity and respond quickly to new requirements and data in a highly dynamic environment.
5. Proven cross-functional program management skills with an ability to rapidly develop solid understanding in new areas quickly.
6. Able to influence in a multi-functional matrix organization.
7. Self starter mentality with a strong leadership drive.
8. BA/BS degree in business, operations, finance, engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Deep understanding of various cloud architectures (e.g. micro-services vs monolithic) and associated operations models.
2. Advanced modeling and predictive analytical skills; "Advanced User" of MS Excel with deep understanding of Excel techniques. VBA, Python, SQL, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.
3. MBA in related field or equivalent experience.
