Platform Architecture Security Engineering Program Manager

Cupertino, California, United States | Hardware

Description

We are seeking a dedicated Engineering Program Manager or a technical leader passionate about program management, team collaboration, and delivering innovative designs within schedule constraints. The ideal candidate should be able to delve into complex technical topics while balancing strategic project needs and technology development tradeoffs.

Responsibilities include working with Platform Architecture teams to define engineering plans, aligning technology development with Apple’s product priorities, and driving new initiatives by collaborating across hardware, software, server, operations, and AppleCare teams. Implement security-focused initiatives across Apple’s product family to maintain and enhance product integrity and user data privacy.

Minimum Qualifications
  • BS degree + 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in High Tech and/or Product Security, with a background in Technical Program or Engineering Management
  • Proven track record of delivering security features and end-to-end solutions involving software, systems, operations, servers, and customer care (e.g., AppleCare)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to facilitate development and design discussions across multiple engineering teams, document decisions, and drive closure
  • Experience in creating high-level program plans and detailed micro-schedules
  • Success in driving multi-functional alignment and acting as a change agent
  • Strong documentation skills and self-organization, ensuring program momentum
  • Self-motivated, proactive in mitigating risks, resolving issues, and escalating as needed
  • Leadership skills to connect team members and communicate effectively with senior management and executives
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and lead through change
  • Influence skills to sway senior management and cross-functional leaders
  • Technical breadth and depth, with the ability to quickly grasp new complex topics
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives around technical topics
  • Familiarity with product fraud, tampering, repair, and legislative initiatives like Right-to-Repair
  • Understanding of security concepts and architectures, including encryption, signing, attestation, hardware/software key protection, secure boot, and cloud security
Compensation and Benefits

The base pay range for this role is $165,500 to $293,800, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple offers stock programs, comprehensive benefits, educational reimbursement, bonuses, and relocation assistance. Learn more about Apple Benefits.
