Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company in Georgia seeks an Associate Principal Engineer to serve as Platform Technology Architect for the Pump & Fluid Platform across the UCC urine evacuation portfolio. You will set the technical vision, define the capability roadmap, and partner with engineering, quality, regulatory, operations, marketing, and manufacturing to prioritize reusable platform improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience with electromechanical medical devices and platform-based development across multiple releases.
• Strong systems-thinking and architecture governance capabilities.
• Familiarity with design controls, verification/validation, and FDA-regulated processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the UCC pump and fluid platform capability roadmap across multiple domains.
• Define crawl/walk/run maturity steps aligned to product release trains.
• Lead periodic strategy reviews and publish roadmap with deliverables and metrics.
• Create reference architectures, design decision records, and platform standards.
• Provide go/no-go guidance on major platform architecture choices.
