Insight Global is seeking a forward‑looking enterprise architect to guide a multi‑year transformation from a Java monolith on DB2/WebSphere to a scalable microservices platform. The focus spans booking, sales, pricing, payments, and more, with heavy collaboration across teams and leadership.

The role is strategic, with 70% non‑coding work, 25% POC development, and involvement in deployment and production support.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as an Architect (15+ years in IT).
Hands-on experience modernizing applications from monolithic to microservices.
Java development background.
Event- and domain-driven development experience.
Ability to create POC for deploying architecture and addressing production issues.
Enterprise-level experience in scaled Agile.
Ability to articulate a solution to senior leadership.
Ability to navigate differences in opinions in stakeholder meetings.
Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
DB2 or other relational databases.

Responsibilities

Lead a multi-year transformation from a legacy Java monolith to a scalable microservices architecture across multiple business lines.
Design and orchestrate loosely coupled solutions to enable faster time to market and plug-and-play integration of new vendors and capabilities.
Collaborate with the data architect and own the application and integration architecture.
Provide guidance on deployment architecture and production support considerations to ensure practical and resilient solutions.
Grow with the organization and design for changing technologies and future scalability.
