Job summary

Dexcom is seeking a Platform Architect to define and guide architecture for server-side, backend, and cloud platforms that support Dexcom products and services. You will collaborate with product management, cybersecurity, quality, and firmware teams to translate business needs into secure, scalable platform solutions.

The role emphasizes architectural direction, standards, and collaboration across multiple teams to reduce risk and accelerate development in a regulated healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 13+ years related experience.
• Experience in regulated medical devices is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Define and guide architecture of server-side, backend, and cloud platforms.
• Translate customer, product, business, regulatory, security, and operational needs into platform requirements and architecture patterns.
• Lead architecture reviews and provide clear, actionable guidance to engineering teams.
• Collaborate with product, cybersecurity, privacy, and engineering teams to meet organizational goals.
• Lead proofs of concept and technical evaluations using modeling and prototyping.
• Define standards for API design, cloud infrastructure, data management, deployment, and system integration.
