A Brief Overview

The Platform Architect at Safelite will lead within an agile team developing a high-volume, scalable platform supporting company operations, aligned with Safelite's growth. They are experienced professionals with expertise in enterprise solutions including Salesforce, Mulesoft, and microservices. They possess deep technical knowledge of the platform, design, lead technical teams, supervise large projects, and set organizational standards.

They are strategic thinkers, resilient, self-starters, and skilled problem solvers, responsible for designing long-term systems capable of handling high volumes without failure.

What you will do

• Define platform architecture and patterns to meet future business needs, including technology evaluation, cloud infrastructure, data/analytics/AI/ML, microservices, APIs, DevSecOps, Security, Performance Optimization, and Documentation.
• Provide technical leadership, promote best engineering practices, and execute large-scale, cross-functional programs.
• Plan and develop technical solutions for strategic initiatives across teams.
• Drive project design and estimates aligning with business and technology strategies.
• Collaborate with global teams, product owners, UX, IT leadership, and stakeholders to plan enhancements and new features, providing relevant insights.
• Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.

Experience Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience required.

Skills and Abilities

• Experience with Salesforce development, customization, and integrations.
• Knowledge of continuous delivery and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Leadership experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Certifications: Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect, System Architect, Technical Architect, Salesforce Certified Technical Architect.
• Expertise in team tools, processes, technical decision-making, industry trends, software design, and integration methods (APIs, services, ESB).
• Proficiency with messaging frameworks like MQ, Pub/Sub.
