Job summary

Acument Global Technologies - North America is seeking candidates for a 2nd shift plating operator. The role involves running automated plating equipment, monitoring in-process products, and performing preventative maintenance. The candidate will train teammates and ensure safety standards are followed.

Responsibilities include data entry in Google Sheets, recording process data, and performing quality sampling on the lines. Prior manufacturing experience and forklift familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proficient data entry and basic computer skills.
• Willingness to learn and operate plating lab equipment.

• Operate the automated plating equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Set up and run correct recipes for each operation.
• Data entry of product information.
• Complete and record required data for the process.
• Perform quality sampling and testing on the lines.
• Monitor chemical levels and tank temperatures.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve plating line issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This is a 2nd shift opportunity.

Responsible for running the automated plating equipment and monitoring product in process.

Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment.

Essential Functions

• Operate mobile equipment.
• Work in a team environment.
• Ability to train and mentor teammates on basic line operations.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in the work area.
• Operate the automated plating equipment.
• Set up and run correct recipes for each operation.
• Start up and shut down of the fin 1 line, fin 2 line.
• Data entry of product information utilizing Google Sheets.
• Complete and record required data for the process utilizing Google Sheets.
• Perform quality sampling and testing requirements on the lines.
• Setup and standardize plating thickness testers.
• Identify and process non conforming product.
• Troubleshoot and identify problems on the plating lines and seek resolution.
• Monitor chemical levels in tanks.
• Monitor and adjust tank temperatures as needed.
• Drain, clean and maintain plating tanks and equipment.
• Monitor barrels for wear and tear and have them repaired.
• Perform inspection for mix product.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Verify product in correct drum when loading
• Ensure safety standards are adhered to at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities

• Must be able to use a variety of plating lab equipment.
• Ability to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Ability to multi-task.
• Good problem solving skills.
• Identify and understand the chemicals used in the waste water and plating areas.
• Data entry and basic computer skills.

Education

HS Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Experience

• Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
• Stand-up Forklift experience a plus.

Working Conditions

• Ability to stand for 8+ hours.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
• Must be able to work in a non-climate facility.
• Ability to bend and stoop.
• Must be flexible and willng to work overtime.
