HEICO in Alabama is seeking a plating technician to learn and execute proper plating sequences. You will be responsible for assigned steps, document paperwork, and clock parts in the company system.

You will handle coating removal, cleaning, and surface preparation while maintaining safety and quality standards. The role requires reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and understanding plating solution temperatures.

Qualificações

• Must speak, read and write English.
• Should have basic computer software skills.
• Prior work experience in plating helpful but not required.
• Should be able to read blueprints.

Responsabilidades

• Remove coating from parts using chemical processes with/without rectification without damaging substrate.
• Perform hydrogen embrittlement bakes as required.
• Read and use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, c-micrometers, bore gauges).
• Review customer procedures for routing conformance.
• Identify basic metal types.
• Prepare plating surfaces of all parts.
• Paint, tape, rack, and grit blast parts assigned.
• Understand temperature ranges for plating solutions.
• Plate parts to specifications on Travelers.
• Clean parts with cleaners and mechanical means.
• Use PPE as required.
• Ensure parts are placed in tanks with correct polarity.

Overview Of The Position

Learn and understand the proper sequences and techniques in the plating process. Be responsible for assigned step(s) in the process, report any problems to Management. Be familiar with the company computer system, know how to "clock" parts to locations and document the required paperwork.

• Remove coating from parts using a chemical processes with and without rectification without causing detrimental damage to the substrate.
• Perform Hydrogen embrittlement bakes as required per work instructions.
• Be able to read and use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, c-micrometers, and bore gauges.
• Develop a clear ability to review various customer procedures for routing conformance.
• Be capable of identifying basic metal types.
• Prepare plating surfaces of all parts.
• Paint, tape, rack, and grit blast parts assigned.
• Understand the temperature ranges that various plating solutions should run.
• Plate parts to the specifications called for on "Travelers".
• Clean parts with chemical cleaners and mechanical means.
• Use proper hearing, eye, hand and foot protection as required.
• Check to ensure parts are placed in tanks with correct polarity.
