Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA, Copper and Brass Division, is hiring a Machine Operator helper on 1st shift to move raw materials, finish goods, and equipment using a forklift. You will train as a back-up plate saw operator and work on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.

Pay ranges from $19-$26 per hour; official job compensation shows $18.47 - $24.99. Benefits include health, retirement, vacation, tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and write English (French in Quebec).
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs for 100 ft.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Previous forklift experience.
• Must be able to sit for long periods and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions.

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials, finished products, and equipment using a forklift.
• Load and unload trucks; verify correct items.
• Select, pack, and process orders; may cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Complete cycle counts and inspect material for defects.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and equipment checks on the warehouse floor.
