Job description

The RollMachine Operator is responsible for lifting steel plates of various sizes using an overhead crane with various lifting clamps, hooks, and chains to position the plate into a CNC roll machine. The operator utilizes a control panel tooperate the machine, which rolls the steel plate to flatten or shape it depending on the job requirements. TheRoll Operator continually monitors the quality and flatness/shape of theproduct throughout the process.

Essential Functions:

• Support all TTI/FSS Company and OSHA Safety Policies to ensure they are followed
• Operateoverhead crane to load, unload, and position plate on roll machine
  
• Rollproduct within specified tolerance on drawings
  
• Detectand report defective materials or questionable conditions to the foreman or supervisor
  
• Accurately document applicable job, product, and quality information utilizing computer and paper documents as required

Additional Duties:

• Additional responsibilities or duties may be required as needed in support of company operations

• Must be able to read and understand drawings, codes, and specifications. Will ensure all established fabrication procedures are followed

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma
  
• 1 year of experience in steel and fabrication facility (preferred)

Language Skills

Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with co-workers, other departments, and managers.
Reporting

Reports to Facility Superintendent with a direct line of communication to the Prefabrication Manager.
