Job summary

Austin Engineering is seeking a Plate Processing & Procurement Manager to lead plate processing, procurement, inventory management, and supply chain functions in Mills, WY. You will develop and execute strategic plans to ensure efficient sourcing, inventory control, production support, and logistics performance.

The role oversees Production Control, Purchasing, Shipping & Receiving, and Plate Procurement teams while ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and cost

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field; 5+ years in procurement or leadership.
Experience in procurement, inventory management, and supply chain.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge of material specifications and engineering standards.
Metallurgical knowledge of plate steels preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead plate processing, procurement, inventory, and supply chain functions.
Develop and execute sourcing, procurement, and inventory strategies.
Oversee Production Control, Purchasing, Plate Procurement, Logistics, and Shipping & Receiving.
Ensure compliance with engineering specs, quality standards, and safety.
Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams.
Develop supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.
