Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking a Plate Technician on 1st shift to mount plates on printing cylinders by color, ensuring correct register and quality. This temp-to-direct hire role runs Monday through Friday with early morning hours, and offers a full benefits package.

Responsibilities include reading work orders, mounting plates, coordinating with the Shift Supervisor, troubleshooting downtime, and maintaining safety and cleanliness in the work area.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Some experience making plates is desirable.
• Excellent communication, organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals, and speak effectively.
• Basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Responsibilities

• Mount plates on cylinders by color and ensure correct lock-in per work orders.
• Read job orders, collect cylinders, align plates, and verify quality.
• Discuss production schedule with Shift Supervisor.
• Troubleshoot to prevent press downtime and complete paperwork.
• Maintain a clean, safe, food-safety compliant work area.
