Job summary

TriMas Packaging LLC is seeking a Utility Operator for the 3rd shift (10:00pm-6:00am) at the Auburn, IN location. This on-site role supports production by operating equipment, mixing materials, and monitoring quality to maintain safety and efficiency.

The position offers a step progression pay scale starting at $19.31/hour, with increases at 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, and 3 years, plus a shift premium. Prior plastics manufacturing experience is preferred; high school diploma or GED is expected.

Qualifications

• Prior plastics manufacturing experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate assembly and production equipment according to procedures.
• Inspect and verify product quality to ensure specifications.
• Supply machines with materials and components to support production.
• Mix raw materials according to work instructions and production requirements.
• Assist with machine startups, changeovers, and operational support as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas per 5S standards.
• Report equipment issues, safety hazards, and quality concerns to supervision.
