BuzzBallz seeks a Plastic Process Technician to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot molding equipment at our Carrollton, TX facility. You will set up processes for injection/blow molding, verify quality with calipers and gauges, and collaborate with engineering to improve efficiency.
Responsibilities include reading blueprints, performing changeovers, maintaining documentation in ERP, and ensuring safety and continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment.
Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot plastic molding processes, including injection molding, blow molding, and other related processes.
Adjust machine settings to maintain optimal performance, quality, and production output.
Perform mold changeovers and machine calibrations as required.
Monitor product quality, identify defects, and take corrective action to meet quality standards.
Perform routine and minor preventive maintenance on molding machines and related equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate setup.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and reduce scrap.
Accurately complete production, quality, and maintenance documentation, including ERP transactions.
Train and support operators and new technicians on machine operation, safety, and best practices.
Assist with new equipment installations, process improvements, and technology upgrades.
Troubleshoot issues related to equipment, materials, and process flow to minimize downtime.
Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Plastic Process Technician, Machine Operator, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of plastic molding processes such as injection molding, blow molding, or extrusion.
Experience using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product quality.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with quality control practices and SPC methods.
Comfortable working with hand tools, machinery, and industrial equipment.
Basic computer skills, including Windows-based systems and ERP platforms.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting.
