Job summary

Pexco is seeking an engineer to design tooling and develop extrusion processes for mono and co-extrusion profiles and tubes. The role focuses on improving quality, material usage and productivity while collaborating with Manufacturing, QC, Materials and Sales teams.

Responsibilities include leading tooling development, coordinating with die development and shop personnel, and ensuring tools meet design and workmanship standards for first article samples. BS in Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or closely related field.
• 3–5 years of plastic extrusion tooling or die design experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and CAD/CAM software.

Responsibilities

• Maintains compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Design tooling and develop processes for mono and co-extrusion profiles.
• Lead new tooling development to meet customer expectations with quality and on-time delivery.
• Coordinate tooling needs with Die Development, technicians and Production Manager.
• Oversee tool making activities in the machine shop and ensure design criteria are met.
• Work with Supply Chain to coordinate procurement for machine shop materials.
