Job summary

Ezetop LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to evaluate, develop and improve injection molding and related manufacturing processes to achieve greater efficiency across the plant in Arlington, VT.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Plastics Engineering (plastics preferred) with 3+ years of plastics industry experience (medical device manufacture a plus), and is proficient in problem solving, design of experiments, and continuous process optimization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Plastics Engineering required (plastics preferred).
  • 3+ years experience in plastics industry (medical device manufacturing a plus).
  • Strong skills in process improvement and problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Gathers and analyzes information to evaluate current work processes.
  • Evaluates, develops and improves injection molding and manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluates current work processes to determine flow, time, costs and duration.
  • Develops strategies and programs to improve productivity.
  • Develops validated injection molding processes using tools like design of experiments.
  • Guides tooling group to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Applies manufacturing engineering problem solving to evaluate production processes.
  • Instructs others in continuous process improvements and productivity techniques.
  • Establishes and optimizes molding processes for quality and repeatability.
  • Works with all shifts to ensure consistent molding room application of policies.
  • Assists Process Technicians with implementing molding improvements using DoE.
  • Complies with company policies and works safely.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Summary

Evaluates, develops and improves injection molding and manufacturing processes to achieve greater efficiency of company manufacturing functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Gathers and analyzes information to evaluate current work processes in order to determine the flow of work, time requirements, costs and duration;
  • Evaluates, develops and improves injection molding and manufacturing processes to achieve greater efficiencies;
  • Evaluates current work processes to determine flow of work, time requirements, costs and duration;
  • Develops strategies and programs that improve the productivity and efficiency of the various work processes;
  • Develops validated or qualified injection molding processes using appropriate tools such as scientific molding techniques or design of experiments;
  • Guides and/or assists tooling group to improve processes to achieve quality and efficiency goals;
  • Invokes various manufacturing engineering problem solving techniques to evaluate and improve production processes;
  • Instructs others in continuous process improvements, including problem solving and productivity techniques;
  • Establishes and optimizes molding processes to achieve product quality, production efficiency and process repeatability;
  • Works with all shifts to ensure smooth and consistent application of molding room and company policies;
  • Assists Process Technicians with implementing molding process improvements using scientific methods such as design of experiments, etc;
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures;
  • Works with co-workers in a safe, professional, and cooperative manner;
  • Other duties as assigned;
Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Mechanical, Electrical or Plastics Engineering (plastics preferred) required; plus three or more years experience in a plastics industry (medical device manufacturing a plus)
