Job summary

Greif, Inc. in Nacogdoches, TX is seeking a hands-on Plant Manager to lead our plastics manufacturing site. You will drive safety, quality, productivity, and Lean initiatives while building a high-performing team on the plant floor.

You'll partner with maintenance, engineering, quality, and planning to optimize operations, coach associates, and ensure achievement of short- and long-term facility goals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Significant manufacturing leadership experience in a plant environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing equipment.
• Hands-on leadership style with visibility on the plant floor.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations for a plastics manufacturing facility of ~86 associates.
• Provide visible, hands-on leadership while fostering trust and teamwork.
• Drive improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency.
• Apply Lean principles to strengthen plant performance and monitor results.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, quality, safety, and planning teams.
• Coach and develop associates, setting clear performance expectations.
