QPS Employment Group is hiring a Packer in Des Plaines, IL. You will read blueprints and orders to determine packaging needs, assemble and seal finished products, and verify quality with calipers and gauges in a fast-paced plastics environment.

You'll work 1st or 3rd shift, lifting up to 40 pounds, and support line setup and startup. Training is provided; strong English communication and basic math skills are essential for safe, accurate packaging.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints, specs, and shop orders.
• Assemble, count and package finished products.
• Use calipers and gauges to verify quality.
• Seal, label and stack boxes.
• Notify leaders when quality fails.
• Keep workspace clean and organized per safety policies.
• Assist line setup, shutdown and startup.
• Work across lines while maintaining safety.
• Report safety and quality concerns promptly.

Responsabilités

• Read blueprints, specs, and shop orders to determine packaging requirements and product specifications
• Properly assemble, count, and package finished products into cartons or boxes according to specifications
• Use measuring devices such as calipers and gauges to verify product quality and compliance with standards
• Seal, label, and stack boxes onto skids, ensuring correct placement and handling
• Notify team leaders or extrusion operators when products do not meet quality standards
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace following safety policies and procedures
• Support line setup, shutdown, and startup activities as needed
• Work efficiently across multiple production lines, maintaining safety and quality standards
• Report safety, environmental, or quality concerns promptly
