An established, growing company in the Eugene, OR area is seeking a qualified Plastic Injection Designer/Engineer to join their team. Relocation assistance can be provided.

Must have 4+ years of mold/tool making experience, high-cavitation molding expertise, SolidWorks CAD proficiency, full mold layout design skills, and MasterCAM experience for machining and toolpath creation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years mold/tool maker experience building, repairing, and troubleshooting injection molds.
• Experience with high-cavitation molding and complex multi-cavity tooling.
• CAD modeling with SolidWorks, including complex assemblies.
• Full mold layout design including gating, cooling, venting, and ejection systems.
• HDPE molding experience and understanding of flow, shrink, cooling for high-volume production.
• DFM and GD&T; ability to design for manufacturability and precision.
• Modular tooling architecture with common mold bases and interchangeable cavities.
• Tooling reuse strategies for scalability and asset utilization.
• MasterCAM used daily for machining and toolpath creation.

Core Attributes Required

• 4+ Years mold/tool maker experienced and demonstrated ability to build, repair and troubleshoot injection molds
• High-cavitation mold experience and familiarity with complex, multi-cavity production tooling
• CAD model building expertise and strong SolidWorks capability with complex assemblies
• Full mold layout design of gating, cooling, venting, and ejection systems
• HDPE molding experience and understanding of flow behavior, shrink, cooling, and high-volume production needs
• DFM, GD&T analysis and ability to design for manufacturability and precision
• Modular tooling architecture experience with common mold bases, standardized inserts, interchangeable cavities
• Tooling reuse strategies for designing scalability and asset utilization
• MasterCAM experience - daily use for machining and toolpath creation
