Job description

What a day looks like

You arrive, review the production schedule, and bring multiple molding and packaging lines to life. You verify machine set points, load the correct sleeves, labels, and materials by part number, and get an extrusion blow mold humming while the injection mold warms up. As production runs, you keep a sharp eye on quality: pulling samples, checking them against specs, and capturing production/quality data with a data collector or by hand. If a hiccup appears, you troubleshoot, make precise adjustments, and document the issue, root cause, and fix. Between lots, you clean filters, monitor purging, and restart equipment after maintenance. You support teammates by providing break coverage and coaching newer Technician Operators.

Core responsibilities
  • Start up, adjust, and run production equipment; routinely confirm machine set points are correct.
  • Operate a range of machinery: extrusion blow mold, extrusion machine, injection blow mold, injection mold, labelers, pad printers, and silk-screens.
  • Perform minor maintenance, clean filters, and oversee purging to keep lines stable.
  • Verify sleeves, boxes, labels, and materials match the job (by part number) before and during runs.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks; compare samples to specifications and respond quickly to any deviation.
  • Escalate repair needs to a supervisor and restart equipment once maintenance is complete.
  • Complete documentation on issues, causes, and corrective actions; close out production runs with accurate records.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards; uphold all safety, food safety, and food quality practices.
  • Assist in training Technician Operators and provide relief during breaks and lunches.
  • Contribute on special projects and other related duties as needed.
Occasional tasks
  • As needed, form boxes, pack or test products.
  • Apply labels to finished goods.
