Plastics Engineer (Mid-Level to Senior) – Blue Standard Inc.

U.S.-Based | Full-Time | $95,000–$150,000 + Benefits

Blue Standard Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior Plastics Engineer based in the United States to support product development, materials evaluation, and plastics manufacturing optimization across innovative and sustainability-focused projects, and help us to expand our production footprint from Europe to the US.

Notes:

This role would start in August of 2026 to begin a study program in Austria & Hungary.

Production is expected to start in October/November of 2026.

Production facility expected to be in the Mid Atlantic Region of the United States.

This role is ideal for an engineer with experience in plastics, polymers, manufacturing processes, tooling, and product commercialization. The selected candidate will also participate in a fully paid 2- to 3-month training/study program in Austria and Hungary to work alongside our international teams and partners.

What you’ll do:
  • Develop and optimize plastic and alternative-material products
  • Support manufacturing processes, including injection molding, extrusion, and tooling review
  • Troubleshoot technical production and product issues
  • Work across R&D, production, and commercialization efforts
  • Collaborate with international teams during paid overseas training
Qualifications:
  • Not required but strongly suggested: Degree in Plastics Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical, Chemical, or related field
  • Not required but strongly suggested: Mid-level to senior experience in plastics engineering or manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of polymer materials and processing
  • Willingness to travel internationally for 2 to 3 months
  • Travel 1 to 2 times a year for continuing education in Europe
  • Willing to relocate
Compensation:

$95,000–$150,000, depending on experience, plus benefits
