Job summary

Apex Water and Process in Chanhassen, MN is seeking a Plastic Welder to fabricate plastic assemblies per print specs, meeting production schedules and customer requirements.

The role involves reading technical drawings, selecting plastics, welding, inspecting parts, and collaborating with teammates, with a pay range of $23–$28 per hour and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision and 401(k). New hires start accruing paid time off from day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret technical prints and drawings.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted; willingness to lift over 50 with assistance.
• Ability to weld in all positions and work with plastic materials.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate plastic piece parts, turntables, cabinets, and fusion assemblies.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics to determine fabrication requirements.
• Select and prepare plastic materials for welding, ensuring they are clean and free from defects.
• Operate hand and power tools, such as grinders and cutters, to shape and trim plastic components as required.
• Inspect components to ensure they meet quality standards and make any necessary adjustments.
• Perform secondary machining operations as required.
• Adhere to production schedules to ensure on-time deliveries, working with the production scheduler.
• Cross-train and assist with training others; participate as an active team member.
